Retracting Your Offer

If you're thinking about making an offer on a Mississauga condo or Lincoln home you better think long and hard about that offer before you submit it. You don't want to find yourself in a situation where you make a bid, it's accepted and then you have second thoughts and want to retract your offer.

In situations like that you might still be liable for going through with the purchase of the piece of Lincoln or Scarborough real estate property if the seller has signed the agreement to purchase contract with the details of your offer. Until any papers have been officially signed by both parties, you as the buyer and the seller of the home, there is no purchase in place and the sale hasn't been closed yet, which means you have the freedom to retract your offer if you so choose to do so.

In a situation where you made a deposit on 251 Queens Quay W - Admiralty Point or Lincoln properties as a sign of good faith in addition to your bid and you later decide to retract your offer you might have to forfeit the deposit amount. The seller only accepted the deposit because they believed you would be purchasing the home and if you were to retract your bid afterward they could claim that they missed out on other potential deals and keep your deposit to make up for damages.

That means you need to be aware of your rights when making an offer on Lincoln or Forest Hill houses. The reason why you are retracting your offer also plays a part in what happens. If you made an offer before a home inspection was done and during the process of getting the home inspected completed major problems were found with the home then you should be fine and not worry about losing any money, as long as hat was a stipulation agreed upon by you and the seller.

Talk to your Lincoln or Prince Edward Island real estate agents before making any offer on any real estate properties to see what your rights are and to go over situations that might arise if you change your mind after making an offer on a home. You want to be as prepared as possible throughout the course of your home buying journey so make sure you do your part and ask your real estate agent as many questions as possible.
